WATER TEMPLE, KIERAN DONNELLAN

This temporary exhibition pavilion was built during the Meeting of Design Students in Ljubljana during August 2012. Located in a narrow riverside park, the curved and pointed form of the wooden pavilion evoke the atmosphere of a boat which has been placed, seemingly at first, loosely among a line of trees. The wooden floor of the entry lobby ends up striking the elliptical curve of the interior exhibition space. Inside the most intriguing feature is discovered: the floor of the space is a pool of water.

Este pabellón temporal de exposiciones fue construido en agosto de 2012 en el Meeting of Design Students en Liubliana. Situado en la estrecha orilla de un río, las formas apuntada y curva del volumen aluden a la geometría de un barco, que ha sido situado, a primera vista, al azar. El pavimento de madera de la entrada termina en la curva elíptica del interior. Una vez dentro, se releva el aspecto más intrigante: el suelo es en realidad una piscina de agua.
