ARCHITECTURE WITHOUT BUILDING, YONA FRIEDMAN / JEAN-BAPTISTE DECAVÈLE

This project for this exhibition consists of 500 rings creating a spatial structure in which works of art can be displayed. Friedman calls it an “iconostasis museum”. The main feature of this concept is that it is not permanent, but it can be used in various ways, so it can be renewed or altered at any time. The exhibition can be seen at the De Vleeshal in Middelburg, The Netherlands. 

Este proyecto para una exposición consiste en 500 anillos que configuran una estructura espacial que funciona como soporte de las obras de arte. Friedman lo llama “iconostasis museum”. La característica principal de este concepto es que no se trata de algo permanente, sino que puede utilizarse de diferentes maneras, con lo que se puede reformar y alterar en cualquier momento. La exposición se puede ver en el De Vleeshal en Middelburg, en los Países Bajos.
