THE CONTEMPLAY PAVILION, DRS + FARMM
This pavilion is a student-led initiative which focuses on investigating new methods of practice. The structure is comprised of 140 planar plywood ribs joined together with another 140 sheet metal node assemblies which are triangulated into a space frame by 266 metal tubes. The volume is created by two layers that define the enclosing envelope of the Möbius strip.
Este pabellón es una iniciativa académica que se centra en la investigación de nuevos métodos prácticos. La estructura está formada de 140 costillas de madera contrachapada unidas mediante 140 nodos metálicos, que se unen a la vez a una estructura triangulada de 266 tubos metálicos. El volumen se configura a partir de dos capas que reproducen la cinta de Moebius.
