AR-VAG FOLDING BOAT, THIBAULT PENVEN
Thibault Penven, student of Ecole Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne, has created this design for a folding boat for a short tour or a fishing trip. The main feature of the vessel is that it is faster to assemble than an inflatable dhingy and less cumbersome than a fixed attachment. The hull consists of a series of fiberglass sheets covered with heath-welded plastic tarpaulin. To set the sail, the user must unfold the body of the watercraft and make it rigid with the central bench.
Thibault Penven, estudiante de la Ecole Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne,ha creado este diseño de bote plegable para pequeños trayectos o para salir a pescar. Su principal característica es que es más rápido de preparar que un bote hinchable y más ligero que uno permanente. El casco está construido a partir de paneles de fibra de vidrio cubiertos de una lona de plástico que se suelda por calor. Para poner en funcionamiento el bote el usuario sólo tiene que desplegarlo y rigidizarlo con el banco central de madera.
